Cranes - Kamisaka Sekka
Description
Drawn from Momoyogusa, Flowers of a Hundred Generations (1909) by Kamisaka Sekka, this composition captures three cranes rising through delicate pine branches with remarkable balance and restraint. Their long black necks, white plumage, and vivid red crowns stand out against the warm neutral ground, while the fine green needles add softness and rhythm to the scene. Sekka’s stylised lines and flattened forms give the work its unmistakable Rinpa-inspired Japanese decorative character. it brings a refined sense of nature and tradition to the wall.
