Frequently Asked Questions

What is Bauhaus style?
Bauhaus was a German design school that started in 1919 and led to geometric shapes, straight lines and primary colors in art and design, among other things. Our Bauhaus posters draw inspiration from that style.
Which décor suits Bauhaus posters best?
Modern, Scandinavian and functional décor, especially with straight furniture and simple colours. But they also serve as a contrast in a softer home.
Can I combine Bauhaus with other styles?
Yes. Bauhaus works well next to minimalist and black and white motifs, as they all share a clear and graphic line. If you mix with more soft motifs, such as botany, let the Bauhaus post be the largest.
What colours should I expect?
Red, yellow and blue are the classics, often against beige, black or white. Look at the product image to see exactly what colours the motif has.
What size are geometric motifs suitable for?
Geometric shapes can withstand large sizes, so 50x70 cm is a good choice over a sofa or in a hallway. 70x100 cm gives a powerful impression.
Is the Bauhaus a good gift for someone who likes design?
Yes, those who like design or architecture tend to appreciate Bauhaus motifs. A motif with colors that match the recipient's home is safest.
